Mystery plant not Tapeinia pumila

Thank you, Mary Sue,

I think my plant could be T. dubia.

Except for the color, is there any obvious way to tell T. dubia from I. pumilio?  The Manning-Goldblatt-Snijman book says that the leaf structure is different.  How different -- would I need a compound microscope and microtome?  Was the dicussion you refer to on-line?

Thanks,
David E.
