Placea ornata germination

I have grown Placea to maturity from seed, but then lost most of my bulbs to 
fungal disease, which seemed to be both stagonospora and some kind of basal 
rot.  I think you need to keep them absolutely bone dry when they are 
dormant, and I am now growing them in pumice.  I checked my almost mature 
bulbs a week ago, and they look pretty good.
