This is a mediterranean climate winter grower so I would imagine that 
you need damp cool conditions (highs in the 50s and 60s F. and lows in 
the 30s and 40s F.) for a number of months followed by increasingly 
warmer and dryer conditions to eventually induce dormancy during dry hot 
summer weather.
