Shame that it wasn't something fabulously rare, but satisfying to have a name on it all the same. The bulbs were growing in a wonderful meadow with Helleborus multifidus subsp. istriacus, Paeonia officinalis, Pulsatilla patens, a Sanguisorba sp., a Thalictrum sp., an Eryngium sp. and a rather lovely species of Crocus, another genus that I'd like to get to grips with.
