Although things in general are pretty quiet in my protected cold frame,
little Asphodelus acaulis has started to bloom.

What a charmer this one is!

I don't know how hardy this one is, so it's in the cold frame for now. My
friend Alice, from whom I got my plant (ultimately it was from Jane McGary)
grows it in the open garden - but she gardens in a somewhat more protected
area than I.

Does anyone in zone 6 or lower have experience with this plant in the open
garden?
