A mediterranean bulb garden part 1

Dear All,
I was last weekend in England (Surrey south of London). I visited this area
in almost every month of the year. This time again I found myself in the
middle of bulbflowering (to make it even better the weather was beautiful).
Not only at Wisley (where I go faithfully everytime), but also in public
parks and private gardens there are naturalised flowerbulbs everywhere:
Crocus, Leucojum, Iris, Snowdrops; Cyclamen coum, Narcissus (just starting)
etc. and every month it is different again.
Then I come back to earth in Marseille airport: a great mediterranean
climate, but public roundabouts decorated without imagination using
pansies and coloured cabages. Made me realise how much work and effort there
is to do here in overcoming the general ignorance regarding naturalising
bulbspecies in public parks and private gardens .
Greetings from the south of France
