       The items listed below have been donated by our members to be shared.

 

  If you are interested in obtaining some of them, please email me PRIVATELY
at <dells@voicenet.com>. Include "BX 165" in the subject line. 

 

        Specify the NUMBERS of the items which you would like; do not
specify quantities. It is a good idea to include your snail mail address,
too, in case I don't already have it. Availability is based on a first come,
first served system. When you receive your seeds/bulbs you will find,
included with them, a statement of how much money (usually $2.00/item)
(cash, check, or Pay Pal to <Arnold@NJ.rr.com>; no money orders, please) you
should send the PBS treasurer to defray our costs for packing and
first-class, priority-mail, or international postage.

1. Hippeastrum 'Orange Sovereign'

2. Lilium pumilum

4.      Iris tectorum 'Sun Moon Lake' . This is an easy hardy Crested Iris
from a selection collected in Taiwan. Commonly called the Japanese Roof
Iris, it is neither native to Japan nor grows on roofs (but there's a story
there). Flowers blue-violet.

5.      Iris 'Wild Survivor'  This is a multi-generational hybrid of two
Pacific Coast native irises ; I. tenax var. gormanii x I. douglassiana. This
hybrid that is said to be very cold hardy, vigorous and floriferous. A newly
introduced iris that should to tried in a variety of climates and
conditions.

6.      Iris wilsonii  This is an uncommon Sino-siberian iris with yellow
flowers. Prefers an acid soil.

7.      Iris  magnifica A bulbous iris of the subgenus  Juno. The plants
resemble a strange little corn stalk with mainly white flowers marked with
pale purple and yellow accents. Flowers emerge out of the leaf axils where
the 'ears' should be. Hardy and self sows here in Kansas City.

8.      Sisyrinchium striatum  A south American Irid with semi-succulent
foliage and a spike of small yellow flowers. Zone 6 and warmer with
protection.
