Dear Uli,

I grow a number of different species of Arisaema in three different beds in
my garden without any problem. I know definitely that mice eat the flowers of
my hellebores and squirrels eat the crocus bulbs though I have yet to
identify what the rabbits, foxes and badgers eat. Pheasants and pigeons eat the
leaves of crocuses.

Paul,
In Kent UK where the brief snow has gone, but the several frosts have burnt
magnolia and camelia blooms
