John, I have 2 pots of papilio. I leave them outside year round in Los Gatos. They get whatever water nature provides in the winter. I water with a hose in the summer and they have bloomed beautifully every year. I say that but they haven't bloomed yet this year. My first hippeastrum just opened yesterday and another today and there are more pots out there to come in. I don't bring them in until they are ready to open.
