Hi, I'm also in the bay area, Oakland. My two live in pots outdoors year round, are rarely if ever fertilized; one bloomed in early January, the other in mid March. Each has produced a few offsets. They are in leaf year round and live with benign neglect as do all my plants that manage to survive. Liz Waterman
