Since T. cyanocrocus has been considered extinct in Chile for many decades
until recently rediscovered, no common name is likely to be recorded.
However, the common names for the less extinguished T. violaeflora are
Violeta de la Cordillera and Violeta de Hojas Largas (violet of the
mountain range and long-leaved violet), according to Hoffmann's Flora
Silvestre de Chile, Zona Central.
