I have pollinated solitary M. depressa simply by emulating the snout of a gerbil with my fingertips.

One year M. depressa was pollinated by mice in the greenhouse as evidenced by the profusion of droppings.

Several flats of M. pustulata are in bloom at this time but M. depressa is only in bud.
