Pinellia cordata is indeed tricky, and I suspect that it needs to be treated 
as if it were a sensitivie Saintpaulia  or similar alpine growing in always 
moist but aerated and VERY open mossy debris over rocks. Here in Illinois it 
did well for me for about 2 months and then the temperature went up, the air 
dried, and Bye-bye.
