I'm a relative newbie with Lachenalia; the present collection dates from the autumn of 2005. The plants have grown well, and some are now showing an inflorescence. They are still outside. I've been keeping them as cool as possible because I don't want to lose the inflorescence. Now that the inflorescence is visible, is it safe to bring them into warmth (room temperature)? Last year I went to the other extreme and left them outside far too long - they actually froze one night, but many went on to bloom anyway. One way or the other, they'll have to come in soon. Do I have to keep them cool?
