Hi,

Susan Hayek, Linda Foulis, and I have started a project to do wiki pages
for at least some of the Families of the genera represented on the wiki and
are making sure that each genus page has a family listed for it. As I get
into this I realize what a tricky business this is and am beginning to
question my sanity. For instance some of our native California genera have
been listed in Alliaceae, Liliaceae, Amaryllidacae, and Themidaceae. Even
now you'll see them listed as Liliaceae or Themidaceae with that group Joe
Shaw quoted as suggesting moving them back to Alliaceae. So I'm not sure
what to do with them.

Could any of you help me decide what to do with Arthropodium and
Thysanotus? John Bryan's Bulbs puts them in Asphodelaceae, my Australian
books put them in Liliaceae, and this helpful German site I found puts them
in Anthericaceae with Pasithea and Anthericum .

It seems to reflect what the APG (Angiosperm Phylogeny Group) II, 2003.
What family are most people using for these two?

I'd be really grateful for any help with this.

Mary Sue
