I measured nuclear DNA content of some Sternbergias. S lutea seems to have av bout 57 picogram ( an there is also a triploid with about 86 pg) and S clusiana 65 pg. If this holds up it should be easy ( for me!) to show the difference. I would be interested to measure Sternbergias of known provenance/locality. I only need a single fresh leaf.
