Dear Jim,
When I leave Crocus sativus in the ground the first roots appear around 7-10
sept (even with a bare minimum of water) I assume that the optimum planting
time is August, before the first rain storms appear. At the moment we are
actually right in the middle of the late summerrain storms.
The first flowers appear by the end of octobre and the full bloom is
early November.
Greetings from the south of France
