Dear all:
           Tulipa saxatilis (like T.linifolia, all forms of clusiana and a 
few hybrids like "Queen of Sheba), is very permanent in rather mild climates 
like this. All of them are grown in strong light but the foliage never 
receives direct sunlight. After flowers they are beheaded.  As for Tulipa 
cretica I have grown it for 12 years from wild collected bulbs and it has 
never flowered.
