 Jim:

The temperature of volatility of essential oils is well documented in
the fragrance and perfume industry.

As far as pollinators always thought that the bees were attracted by
the color and sight of a flower and 'secondary' pollinators such as
moths, butterflies and flies ( aroids) were drawn by scent.
