John, your advise is very sound and your hygiene program should ensure good plants. I use a minimum of fertiliser and pesticides but do use products like Miracle Gro, boosters and seaweed emulsions. My bulbs/plants grow well and thankfully I've never had a virus in all the years of growing (yet).
