He was a notable amateur gardener and industrialist in the Cincinnati area. His estate, Lobs Woods is part of the Cincinnati Nature Center and his old stone house is often used for social functions there. He had frequent correspondence with Elizabeth Lawrence and was well known for his interest in bulbs. I have the good fortune of living practically in the back yard of the Cincinnati Nature Center in Clermont County just east of Cincinnati, Ohio, 10 miles north of the Ohio River. Bill Lee
