I've tried this plant on several occasions and in various positions in the
garden here in zone 7. It's not for us: the foliage freezes during the
winter and the plant becomes progressively weaker.

Montgomery County, Maryland, USA, USDA zone 7, where Scilla peruviana has
been absent for years, yet the peculiar smell of the dry bulbs still haunts
me.
