Watsonias & fire.

Dear All;

It is apparently not the fire that make certain bulbs come into flower
but the smoke from the fires. One can obtain sponges that have absorbed
smoke, add them to a watering can and water the plants and this has the
same result as when, in the wild, fires and smoke have been experienced.
this might be an answer to those watsonias which produce a lot of growth
but no flowers, they need smoke! Cheers, John E. Bryan
