i didn't know lily bulbs were edible. my mom cooks
lily buds ("golden needles" they are called, i think)
but these are daylilies (Hemerocallis).

incidentally, my mom once heard flowers of the
night-blooming cereus (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) were
edible so she took some of her plant and cooked them.
she said they don't taste half-bad.

as for oca, this was discussed in some other list. i
know of one source, although i have never ordered from
them.

click on catalog button (at the end), although the
species name is misspelled.
