Mary Sue, Thank you for all that info. It certianly fills in a few blanks for me. I will definitely try a few of the things Gordon recommends from your notes. I have had a hard time with some of the fine seeds (such as Sinningias). I will try the watering from the bottom and hope that works. The problem with watering from the bottom is that if you have salt in your water, it builds up on the top of the soil (ergo seed area) instead of being flushed through.
