I said my A. akaka seed hadn't germinated but I have a potful of tall seedlings, so I guess I forgot to record its first appearance last year. 100. Allium akaka E.Tur. Horasan area 1650 m Jurasek Jan02 I've just been looking at some pictures of it in Phillips and Rix: Bulbs, and now I wonder why I bought the seed. It looks non-descript. Maybe Jurasek had an enticing description in his seedlist. Does anyone else grow this and find it exciting? Or even pleasing? Diane Whitehead
