I uploaded a photo of a flower of Vellozia sp. from a plant I got from Kartuz Nursery on a trip with John Ingram (who also purchased one) and others who live in southern Calif. There doesn't seem to be a lot known about this genus from Brazil. However, Mauro Peixoto has some photos of some stunning looking species on his website <http://www.brazilplants.com/>.
