Dear all

I would like to hear your experiences with seeds and bulbs from opposite hemispheres.
Mine haven't been so bright indeed. I have got an Ammocharis tinneana and Crinum macowani from SA over an year ago and they have never recovered. They try to push leaves but later they abort. I have also sent Sternbegia lutea seeds in Oz and they have got no germination. Now the problem is that seeds and bulb from Mediterranean climate have a summer rest, but when sent to the opposite hemisphere they arrive exactly in the wrong season. I understand that with seeds that are not perishable, they can be stored till the right season, but what about bulbs or seeds that need to be sown immediately?

Happy Easter to all
