Lycoris in Bloom

Dear All,

I have Lycoris squamigera and L. X haywardii blooming in the garden now.

I'm going to post an image of the later to the Bulbs list. I'd appreciate it
if there's a person who could verify that the plant sold to me as L. X
haywardii actually is that particular hybrid. The same place sold me "L.
sprengeri" at the same time - that bloomed with yellow flowers that had pink
stripes down the center. The ID on that plant was therefore obviously
incorrect. The replacement L. sprengeri hasn't bloomed as yet, but the
putative L. X haywardii in today's picture has gone from 2 to 4 flowering stems
in the space of a year, and seems to be doing quite well with the initial
situation I tried for it. I'm delighted with the plant's flowers, a dark pink
with nicely contrasting blue tips; I just want to be sure the name is correct.

Many thanks to all the other posters. I enjoy the exchanges on this list very
much indeed.
